Productions

Picture cars for Atlanta productions.

Five exotic cars available to film, commercial, and music video productions in metro Atlanta, delivered to set with a handler, priced by the hour or the day. A different booking from a consumer rental and from a photo session: the production carries the insurance, the car comes with someone who stays with it, and the rate is quoted to the call sheet.

What we book

Four kinds of production work.

Hero and background

The car placed for the shot, moved between setups by the handler, and kept clean through the day.

Moving shots

Owner or handler driving, process trailer, or tow rig, agreed in the quote. No stunt driving.

Music video and content

Atlanta is the second most filmed city in the country for music videos. Half-day and full-day framing, call time to wrap.

Stills and campaign

A parked car for a product, fashion, or brand shoot. If the shoot is under two hours and does not need a set, a photo session is usually the cheaper booking.

Framing

Hourly, half day, full day.

Production bookings are quoted, not listed. The consumer day rates on the rental cards assume one renter, one deposit, and a mileage allowance; a set day assumes a handler on the clock from call time to wrap, the car moved a dozen times, and a production carrying the risk. Send the car, the call and wrap times, the location, and whether the car moves on camera, and the quote comes back with the rate, the handler, and travel to the location.

Minimums and overtime are stated on the quote. Holding a car for a second day, a weather day, or a company move is priced when the schedule is known, not on the day.

COI requirements

No certificate, no car on set.

The production supplies a certificate of insurance with hired and non-owned auto liability and physical damage coverage at the agreed value of the car. Who is named as additional insured, the limits, and the agreed value are stated on the quote for that car, so the certificate can be issued correctly the first time. Any driver named for on-camera driving appears on the certificate.

A deposit may still be required by the owner in addition to the certificate; if so it is stated on the quote and released after wrap and inspection.

On set

How the car is handled.

The car arrives with a handler, usually the owner, who stays with it for the day. The handler places the car for each setup, moves it between setups, and keeps it clean between takes. Nobody drives it without the handler present and the driver named on the certificate. Rigging to the body, smoke, water, and anything that touches paint is agreed in writing before the day, or it does not happen.

Stunt driving, burnouts, drifting, and off-road use are not offered on any car. Moving shots are done with the handler driving, a process trailer, or a tow rig.

Production questions

Before the call sheet

What is a picture car rental?

A car booked for a production to appear on camera, priced by the hour or the day, delivered to set with a handler who stays with it. It is not a driving rental: the car is placed, moved between setups by the handler, and collected at wrap.

What does a picture car cost in Atlanta?

Quoted per production. Send the car, the call time, the wrap time, the location, and whether the car moves on camera, and the quote comes back with the hourly or day rate, the handler, and travel. Rates on the rental cards are for consumer day rentals and do not apply to productions.

What insurance does a production need?

A certificate of insurance from the production with hired and non-owned auto liability and physical damage coverage at the agreed value of the car. Who is named as additional insured, the limits, and the agreed value are stated on the quote for that car. No certificate, no car on set.

Can an actor drive the car on camera?

Only under terms agreed in the quote, with the driver named on the COI and a handler present. Most driving shots are done with the owner or handler driving, a process trailer, or a tow rig. Stunt work, burnouts, and drifting are not offered.

How much notice do you need?

As much as the production has. The cars also carry consumer bookings, so the earlier the dates are locked, the more likely the car you want is free. Same-week requests are quoted if the schedule allows.

Contact

Talk to a person.

Rentals, sessions, and partnerships all start with a short message. Tell us the date, what you want the car for, and where you are. You will hear back from the person who runs this, not a form robot.
